Scarlet Class thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Paper Garden! They tasted some of the growing plants and had the opportunity to make a representation of a bird's nest. The children also planted some beans and brushed sheep's wool to make some yarn!

Yesterday, pupils in EYFS and KS1 had a fantastic time at the London Royal Festival Hall for the Brightsparks Concert. This children, staff and parent volunteers loved singing along and joining in with the music throughout the performance.

Nursery children had a wonderful time this morning exploring how to use their new light box in Rainbow Class. It was fantastic to see the children using the lightbox to spark their curiousity and was a great opportunity for peer talk.

The children in Scarlet Class have been using the alien Hoctopize's description of his lost toy Cuddles to visualise what Cuddles may look like. Hoctopize has lost his toy somewhere in London so keep your eyes peeled for it!

Nursery and Reception children outdid themselves this morning performing their retelling of the Nativity. The children spoke with such confidence and sang their hearts out during all of their songs! Well done everyone who brought this show to life! We loved it!

Children in Nursery have been learning the story Handa's Surprise this week. Today they got the chance to try some of the foods from the story for themselves. Safe to say, we didn't love all of the foods we tried but loved the experience of being taste testers!

Children in Reception have been learning about the scuptlor Barbara Hepworth in their art lessons. In honour of her work, they have created their own nature-inspired, abstract clay sculptures. Aren't they fantastic!

Children in Reception have been learning a model text version of 'The Disgusting Sandwich' by Gareth Edwards for their Talk for Writing unit this term. The children have shared new ways to describe foods they love and writing in character as Badger!

The children in nursery have been waiting patiently over the last few weeks for their chrysalises to reveal these beautiful butterflies. All the pupils were so excited to see the butterflies emerge and have loved linking this to their learning in lessons!

As part of their learning topic ‘Growing’, pupils in Scarlet Class had a wonderful trip to Paper Garden this week. Our school gardener, Jack, shared his knowledge about different plants and the children even got to taste some plant leaves! Yum!

Our Reception pupils have been hard at work this term writing Wanted posters to catch the naughty men, who are trying to steal the prize cow from the story 'What the Ladybird Heard!' We are so proud of how much progress they are making in their writing!
