I dunno, I think all my ideas just come pre-packaged with titles. I remember when I first started noting down my ideas for #ATOTH, I just had it saved as "creative writing project" but then one day it was suddenly ATOTH and that was it.
Window Of Opportunity was just called that right from the start, because it made sense.
If I have an idea without a title, all I have to do is wait until the title makes itself known.
So, after years of having this planned out, I finally made a Curly Arrow Thing for #ATOTH! I hope they're still in fashion haha!

The answer is the same for both β whatever takes my fancy!
There's elements of multiple genres within #ATOTH. It takes place in a "Stereotypical fantasy" inspired setting. There's a heavy focus on romance. There's action, adventure and a little bit of gore, but I wouldn't describe it as any of these.
I usually describe it as "Lit-fic cosplaying as fanfic," which sums it up pretty well.

...I mean, kinda, but there's deep stuff in there too. It's just the deep stuff doesn't make all that much sense without the multiple layers of context I've built up throughout the narrative, so it's much easier to share the stupid humour π€£
(And yes, somehow this becomes important during a pivotal plot point. I have an awful habit of making the least defensible content into Structural Support Scenes.)

So, erm... I'm not currently reading anythingΒΉ. I've just finished my most recent #ATOTH read-through. My immediate thought was "great, let's do it again" but I'm trying to refrain. I'm gonna have to format it one of these days and I don't wanna be sick of it when the time comes (ha! Like that'll happen!)
I can't tell you what my next read will be. Not because it's a secret, but because I don't know. I don't normally plan these things, they just happen.
ΒΉ Although I don't have a current read, I am watching One Piece so it's not like I'm just sat here twiddling my thumbs with no entertainment during my free time.

You might remember me from failing to follow through with other #FantasyIndies months over the past, what? 4-odd years I've been talking about the same bloody WIP.
Honestly, it's pretty much done, but is it *done* done? Am I simply agonising over potential unintentional repetitions of words within close proximity to one another? Am I delaying the inevitable horrors of having to write a blurb? Am I... sidetracked? Come on, gang, let's search for clues!

#ATOTH wouldn't translate well on screen. Maybe animation, but as it satirises so many elements of visual media, it'd simply become that which it holds a mirror to, which defeats the purpose. I sometimes imagine the voice cast, though.

1. Hi, I'm Mana. I'm still working on #ATOTH, which is a... *literally checks notes* satirical exploration of themes such as fandom and neurodivergence in a fantasy-esque setting with a heavy focus on romantic subplots.
I'm very close to being finished, having been working on it since 2022. I'm currently waiting for feedback from a couple readers (I'm open to sharing with additional beta readers if it takes anyone's fancy).
2. As for my TBR, I have no idea. I go where the wind takes me.

I finished the first major edit of the first half of #ATOTH this morning! 47273 words cut!
Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it infinitely better than the messy first draft? Yes!
Hopefully the next pass won't take so much work. Tweaking wording, screening for typos, changing a few minor aspects here and there, general faffery.
Been working on a cover design for #ATOTH. I'm so happy with how it's turning out, I wanna show people but I'm too scared π€£ So I showed my 11-year-old.
She told me the axe is the wrong size and now I'm paranoid ._.
So nice to have a supportive family π
