The Roadster could genuinely be a lifesaver in situations like these.
Jailer 2 – Mass masterclass. 75-year-old Rajini still owns the screen. 4/5 🔥
#AuraFarming #AatukuttiReview
Positives: 75 YO Rajinikanth nope, the AURAKAANTH throughout.
Nelson knew what he wanted 4m the Retired Jailer. Critics might argue how come just walking is winning. Here comes the Jailer who doesn’t have to raise his hand on anyone but can orchestrate the entire action sequences. Nelson got the pulse on how to handle The Aurakaanth and make the whole crowd go crazy
When you go to a Rajini movie just leave the logics outside and trust only his magic. that’s exactly what was delivered by @Nelsondilpkumar . His handling of this sequel should a masterclass to everyone who has attempted (and failed) or attempting part2’s.
He has saved Tamil cinema from the part2 failure saga with no BS storyline right from where he left it in the 1st part. Reliving Batchaaa boot sounds was a pure fanboy sambavam.
Namo Narayanan and Yogi Babu: thanks to Nelson for penning Nomo’s character. It’s a laughter riot along with YogiB. I’m sure he would be used in many more new movies after Jailer2.
The cameo’s thiruvizha procession was handled the right way unlike Loki wasting the script in Coolie.
Everyone had their role to support Jailer till end. New cameo additions Hrithik, VJS thevayaana alavula mix panirkaar Nelson.
Antagonists: kinda subtle just like all other Nelson scripts. Even serious villains would go a bit comic at times, SJ Surya was used in such context. Movie la kurai sola mudiyama SJS usual way la nadichaar nu solitu irukaanga. What they don’t say is the character arc of SJS, Mithun Chakraborty , Vidya Balan, and Suraj was defined that way. They have a strong outlook but would eventually be weak and will fail in Nelson scripts and that’s the pattern.
Music: Anirudh’s BGMs and backing song tracks Thalaivaru nirantharam and ore thalaivan etc are aura farming to the core.
Stark contrast from DC to Jailer2. Probably he would have thought the “Frame parunga ji” was overwhelming and decided to play second fiddle to the superstar. Songs are bit off and didn’t hit me enough.
Camera, DI, CG nu thevayana alavu is the right adjective.
Negatives:
The second half reveal portion by SJS to Jailers family was bit dragging but I feel it was done purposely to bring and end the family’s quest to know the missing mystery of Jailer’s son. But could’ve been better executed.
Funny enough - the very next scene Vidhya Balan explains why Jailer killed his own son to his family. I was like scratching my head 🤣🤣🤣
One more request - please save Nelson from Jani master, mudila da saami 🤧🤧
Overall after coolies misery- the superstar is back with another best in theaters commercial blockbuster.
#Rajinified isn’t just a hashtag but this was what I felt in the theaters.50 + years of unshakeable domination ruling the industry.
A must watch with families (18+ coz of violence) and a must watch in theaters coz the experience is unimaginable.
The 75YO still rules the BO unlike other verbal diarrhoea group.
