@Studio_Bim If the process starts with a tick ✅ box then it usually follows the whole way through. We have a template because our ISO19650 certifier thinks its mandatory to have one & it must be 95% #BIMPrattle complete & they want to see that used, even if not suitable for that project.
Had an insightful chat with a Middle East colleague leading #ISO19650 adoption. Fascinating to see #BIMWaste challenges surfacing there too. Impressed by his AI-enhanced take on my 2018 EIR review process from #BIMPrattle docs which is more mature than the AI prototype I have!
I see more & more #BIM based docs that clearly have AI induced #BIMPrattle.
Obvious mistakes like referring to BIM as “Binary Input Message” in a paragraph!
You must still remember that AI makes mistakes & you using it without checking further spreads #BIMfatigue❗️

One day, we will realise that #ISO19650 is still not business as usual in the UK. We still have #TickBoxBIM.

@AndyBoutle Yeah, use Bluebeam to markup as below. Then bluebeam can export 200 pages of EIR #BIMPrattle into 7 pages of tabulated requirements.
Looking at smarter ways to do it, using various new tools that use AI. But for now Bluebeam revu is my prefered choice.
Its common to get #EIRs during a tender with no actual information requirements, just #BIMPrattle. But it does make me snigger when you raise TQs confirming what few IRs are present with responses like "No, we dont want COBie, TBC"

400+ pages of client EIRs & SMPs full of #BIMPrattle+ other project #BIM plans that pollute the appointments of every subcontractor, even those with package values less than £100k because of industry prefered #BIMProtocol that doesn't use common sense. So most don't read....
One problem with #ISO19650 is most clients interpret the Project Information Standards as one specific doc. The supply chain then all have to use this alongside their own docs. If the formatting is poor, content illegible/#BIMPrattle & you cant change it, then everyone suffers
Its amazing how quickly someone can condense 11 pages of #BIMPrattle related to O&M structure down to two verbal sentences, starting with “Simply put, it just means WE want …”.
Information requirements #EIRs have largely still not improved since PAS1192 #BIMWaste
Yet another major public client using FIND & REPLACE feature in MSWord to update their #EIR template from #PAS1192 to #ISO19650. States it wont be tailored for appointments, contains lots of #BIMPrattle and will likely be used on £billions of work over next 10 years #BIMWaste

The reason that BEP is there is to fill it out with #BIMPrattle so the client will tick the BIM box cus the client wants extensive prattle defined in their BEP checklist. BEP then stops being a delivery tool and more a bureaucratic paperweight
Another interesting EIR from one of the largest government expenditure projects....Should this not be "what"!?....Leave the "How" to the supply chain perhaps. I really don't want to read any further than this page 1.

@melaniejane25 One. Its almost impossible to split e.g. No matter hard you try your EIR doc will have standards in it. Your production procedures rely on standards also. So you will end up with your eir pis and pmp all having bits of each other = diplocation = #BIMPrattle

another 73 page EIR...full of #BIMprattle and lots of terms like BIM Leader and BIM Manager...all of which are undefined and unassigned....could have been just condensed into 1 page saying "Please provide Autodesk files in 2018, COBie and PDFs"

New major infrastructure EIR with over 600 pages (including all information/#BIM related documents) and I am only on page 163 and still not a single requirement major #BIMPrattle! 15 pages of intro explaining BIM, the mandate and the future of BIM. 12 pages explaining ISO19650
Writing an EIR and associated resources that will be made public next year. Feeling the pressure knowing it will be heavily scrutinised by others and making sure I schedule in a full #BIMprattle review before @for59j54 gets hold of it!
another 65 page #EIR that I have marked up using my 4 colour coding system where GREY=#BIMPrattle, and we have a 65% #BIMPrattle winner this month! Taken me 3 hours to review, that's over 1.5 hours reading rubbish about the future of #BIM, BIM`s potential & Philosophy of BIM!
