Today we began to make rainbow spinners. When we finish them, we will be able to see how applying greater force and speed to our rainbow spinner can mix all the different wavelengths of coloured light together, creating white light. #BPSIDL
We continued our work on healthy eating and building our independence. Today we reminded ourselves of good hygiene rules, chose our own sandwich fillings, and practised basic techniques like buttering, slicing,shredding, and grating, to make yummy healthy sandwiches! #BPSIDL
Today we conducted another experiment on sound vibrations and made paper cup telephones! We were very surprised at how the sound waves could travel for over 5 metres ππ½π#BPSIDL
Today we completed our first science experiment on our new topic. We are learning about sound waves and how they travel. We investigated whether different solids conducted sound more effectively than others, and the impact of distance on volume #BPSIDL
Today, we potted up some Amaranthus, Fennel, and Rudbeckia seedlings from our #growwithit project @RHSSchools. We are taking these home, into our community, to plant out and enhance our area β€οΈπ #BPSIDL

Great work completing the first layer of our planets #BPSIDL
We *loved* making space-themed art today! I was so impressed! First we researched planets and then we used pastels to bring our art to life. Absolutely brilliant #BPSIDL
With the break in the weather, we took the opportunity to do more planting. We potted up amaranthus and love lies bleeding, and then we sowed California poppies in the flower bed we worked so hard to clear. Amazing work! ππͺπ½ #BPSIDL
We had the best time taking part in the big sow @RHSSchools! We weeded our raised bed and then planted rudbeckia and fennel in potting trays. Next we will finish turning over the soil and feed it, so that the seeds can be planted out soon #BPSIDL
We became Roman soldiers today and took part in some battle manoeuvres with our AMAZING shields! Very proud of all the hard work P4P put into these ππͺπ½ #BPSIDL
We started making Roman shields in class. We will paint them tomorrow with a design of our choice and then try them out in the playground! #BPSIDL
We have been working on fact and opinion. Today we had great fun testing this knowledge, using pictures of Roman objects and people. We formed debate lines, with fact speakers on one side and opinion speakers on the other #BPSIDL
Thank you so much to everyone who sent in lots of boxes and cardboard. We had an absolute ball making Roman houses today. Lots of different designs, from a small hut to insulae and even a domus! We will continue these tomorrow and then bring them home β€οΈ#BPSIDL

We learned about how to make tartan and made our own, using colours that were special to us #BPSIDL
We became citizen scientists and completed the big schools' birdwatch @RSPB_Learning @RSPBScotland. We documented all the birds we saw around the school grounds. Next week we will work on turning our data into bar charts in Maths! #BPSIDL
