Latest update of my cap casualty predictions. So far: 25 releases that I expected, 17 that I did not.
If the Bills lean into #CompPickBingo with the DJ Moore trade, theyโd let McGovern, Edwards, Bosa, Epenesa, Milano walk & target released players:
Rashan Gary
Bobby Okereke
Dalvin Tomlinson
Jonathan Allen
Darnell Mooney
Javon Hargrave
Bryce Huff
Tremaine Edmunds
Mekhi Becton

Really fun conversation with @nickkorte, we went through how #CompPickBingo works, how #BillsMafia got screwed last year, and every scenario they could face this year for their 2025 comp picks (helpful graphics included)
I hope you check it out
The @GregTompsett Sports Show just dropped w a special episode for all draft AND salary cap nerds! Special guest @NickKorte from Over The Cap & Greg discuss the 2024 compensatory pick formula & project how it could benefit the Bills in 2025.

Now officially #CompPickBingo
Contracts are in for Tyrel Dodson and Artie Burns via https://t.co/fz1zoQcNrm. As expected, Burns is a veteran minimum deal counting $1.152 million against the cap. Below is Dodson's, which counts $4.250 million against the cap:
Some more contract terms:
- #Seahawks signed LB Tyrel Dodson to a 1-year, $4.2M deal. He could get up to $5.51M.
- #Commanders signed DE Dante Fowler to a 1-year, $3.25M deal. He could get up to $5.75M.
For Carolina and Dane Jackson, itโs a two-year deal worth up to $14.5 million, per source. Starter money for a guy who started 28 games over four seasons in Buffalo.
GET THAT MONEY DANE!!! MY MAN!

Joe knows the ways of the #CompPickBingo
Would not count against the 2025 compensatory formula, which could be quite important this offseason.
A veteran edge rusher like Shaq Barrett, who has been released, wouldnโt impact the Compensatory Pick formula if #BillsMafia added him

Also, Nick is THE best expert on the comp pick formula. Must follow
Looks like Day 2 is winding down, so here's the updated list of the 2024 compensatory picks projection.
And this does not account for several TBDs on precise APY for players such as Jarran Reed, Kyzir White, Robert Spillane, Azeez Al-Shaair, Daniel Brunskill, or Charles Omenihu.
#Bills To Do List -
Tremaine Edmunds โก๏ธ Erik Kendricks
Jordan Poyer โก๏ธ John Johnson III
Lavish in the warm embrace of compensatory draft picks #BillsMafia
If youโre a fan of #CompPickBingo letting Tremaine Edmunds walk and replacing him with a released Eric Kendricks would be a favorable move
#BillsMafia
@GregTompsett Would Kendricks count against us in the comp pick formula?
IF Beane finally wants to dip his toe in the compensatory pick waters
Let Edmunds walk
Sign released Bobby Wagner
Let Jordan Phillips Walk
Sign released Robert Woods
Let Poyer walk
Trade 5th for Chuck Clark
Let Singletary walk
#CompPickBingo
No. The Bills have received no compensatory picks under Brandon Beane because thus far in his tenure, he has signed more free agents each year than we have lost (which is the 1st criteria to qualify before any contract value comes up)
#BillsMafia #CompPickBingo
@GregTompsett Did Harrison Phillips garner a comp pick?
Starting to wonder if THIS will finally be Brandon Beaneโs Comp Pick Bingo offseason
Let both Edmunds & Poyer walk for huge deals (& Singletary & maybe Phillips moderate deals), wait to sign discount FAโs, recoup two extra 3rd Rd picks+ (or 3rd & 4th)
