Q and A: When I was giving a talk at FPT University, a student asked: Which #Consensus_Algorithm is the fairest?
I replied DPoS, because DPoS is the highest form, PoS means the rich win, and DPoS means the rich also have power over each other to produce the most balanced vote (Most balanced, not most fair).
They still asked, which one is the most decentralized?
Hmm getting here is really difficult, because it is not yet possible to be maximally decentralized.
My answer: So we can combine other Algorithms, like BFT #DPoS; or create other Consensus that does not use the power of money, such as Proof of Authority, Proof of Reputation; The institution uses a new type of Governance. That was how the Senate and the House of Representatives were born.
In fact, Proof of work is sometimes the most decentralized, 51%, simple, compact and not roundabout, with investment in machinery, that is, actually doing it, then the mine can be output. Just like "If you work, you will eat".
What are your opinions? I think this student probably reads a lot of Socialism and Capitalism, shareholder law and all. It's too difficult to ask.
