#Mexico made important contributions to #CSP9 of #ArmsTreaty. It presented a working paper with Austria & Ireland with recommendations to link the work of the ATT & the UNGP on business and #HumanRights & further discuss responsible industry conduct in international arms trade.

A pleasure to give my report as Chair of the VTF Selection Committee to #ArmsTreaty #CSP9 under the guidance of @AustraliaUN_GVA! This year we approved 14 projects to support the universalisation and implementation of the #ATT.
In @ParlForumSALW’s side event at #CSP9, @BiancaPabotoy, associate at @CPE_MC, emphasised the vital gender perspective in actions for #SALW control & noted that #ATT universalisation & WPS implementation remains low in #SouthEastAsia. #ParliamentaryActionAsiaMENALAC
MPs can contribute to #ATT implementation in Lebanon & reducing illicit #SALW, by stricter criminal punishment & raising public awareness on the dangers of #SALW, said member @EliasHankach MP in #Lebanon in @ParlForumSALW’s side event at #CSP9. #ParliamentaryActionAsiaMENALAC
