Want to note that when the subways fell apart, @RidersAlliance sprung into action with #CuomosMTA & the #FixTheSubway campaign. RA made sure that everyone talking about the subways KNEW it was the gov's job to fix it. That political accountability is what turned things around.
Meanwhile many advocates & other electeds continued to push for CP as a way to reduce congestion, improve livability, fund mass transit, etc., the make-up of the Legislature changed, & Cuomo led its 2019 passage.
