With @NagarNigamGkp & leadership @DrMangleshBJP, #DFCA brought together healthcare professionals, the city, and communities to address open #plasticwaste burning through a health lens.
The initiative focused on ward-level public awareness, where DFCA doctors with Parshads engaged ~300 residents and Safai Karamcharis, across 10 wards, on health impacts of toxic gases and fine particles released from waste burning- prioritising dialogue and awareness.
The local participation later moved to the streets through a #citymarathon carrying the message "Clean Air for Healthy Lungs".
The work- ward by ward, created spaces where questions meet answers and awareness translates into action.
#Pediatricians are seeing more #children with #asthma, earlier and more severe. Dr. Shetanshu Srivastava @ShetanshuS shared how indoor & outdoor air pollution and climate change are driving this rise.
