A2: Being both #BlackAndDisabled, people keep accusing me of not being disabled even though I have 12+ severe chronic illnesses. They constantly want to dehumanize me. And devalue me. Also medical racism. Can't get pain management as well. #DisHacks #DisabledBlackTalk

A2. idk that there are #DisHacks for this so much as i need therapy and liberation, but the biggest ongoing issue i currently experience from being both #BlackAndDisabled is that i disappear, even in intimate spaces with people who love me #DisabledBlackTalk

A2. i was the family tinkerer before i ran away, so im helpful, but moreso with everyday household stuff. i definitely go to my crip friends to receive #DisHacks more often than im offering #DisabledBlackTalk

A1: I see myself as a person who NEEDS all the #DisHacks to fix things and I only have some of the #DisHacks. I struggle a lot with my pain and I've tried a lot of things like CBD/THC products, heating pad, etc. But what I really need is pain meds. #DisabledBlackTalk

a1. I wouldn't say I have ALL the #disability hacks but I can often find #DisHacks because of the way I was trained to research. My weak point is #mobility aids #DisHacks. I always have to ask the community, but y'all always come through for me. #DisabledBlackTalk

The topic idea for this chat came out of a talk we had in the #DisabledBlackTalk Chronic Pain room, where we were trying to figure out things like how to repair #Mobility aids that no longer have a standard fix. We're hoping we can launch #DisHacks as a tag just for that.
