Ce hashtag #DontRushChallenge me replonge toujours dans mes souvenirs au pôle digital chez UMA. À cette époque, on venait de sortir Mêmes Mêmes Choses de @lockofficial un titre qui avait été largement critiqué ici sur Twitter dès sa sortie. Malgré nos efforts, on peinait à atteindre les 300 000 vues en 3 semaines. Puis le #DontRushChallenge a commencé à prendre de l’ampleur sur les réseaux. Avec @Camer_Digital, on a eu l’idée d’associer la chanson de Locko à cette tendance. Je recevais plein de vidéos, et à chaque fois, je demandais aux créatrices de contenu camerounaises d’utiliser le son de Locko comme bande-son. Petit à petit, ça a commencé à prendre. Et là, retournement total : les mêmes qui critiquaient la chanson ont commencé à dire « Mais ce son, c’est la magie », « Je ne l’avais jamais écouté en fait »… Résultat ? On a dépassé le million de vues sur YouTube en à peine 5 semaines. Du NewsJacking en feat avec de l’influence communautaire.
