This is an appalling & shameful article BELOW by @freedland in @guardian
I am a Jewish Green
I have read the motion he talks about carefully. It would absolutely NOT lead to expulsions for Jews attending synagogues. This is pure fabrication & fear-mongering
The problem with Zionism is that it was based on the idea of “a land without people, for a people without land”. BUT the land was NOT without people.
Millions & millions of Palestinians have been persecuted, ethnically cleansed & killed BECAUSE of Zionism
Freedland basically IGNORES the Palestinians - the victims of Zionism

Freedland wheeled on to criticise the bare minimum sanctions imposed on West Bank settlers.
This guy writes for the @guardian, a supposed “left of centre/progressive newspaper…”

“Netanyahu and his allies, they love fighting a kind of Millwall campaign - ‘everyone hates us and we don’t care’”
The Guardian’s Jonathan Freeland says the UK Government sanctioning West Bank settlements could be used by supporters of the Israeli PM to project a message of “the world is against us, therefore stick with us” in the upcoming election.

BREAKING🚨 @guardian journalist admits he fabricated entire story about Iran stoning women in 2010.
This is exactly the kind of lies that manufacture consent for war.
Yet the guardian still has a fake story up about there being women and children in Sednaya prison Syria.

In the scandal of the Open Letter, the @guardian should do an investigation - given the following facts that have now emerged.
1. Mumia Abu-Jamal did not give consent for his signature on this letter.
2. Several initial signatories, such as Robin DG Kelley, have now retracted their signatures saying that the letter that was published was not what was shown to them.
a. Why did the Guardian's editorial team not check to make sure that the signatures were accurate? They could have asked to see emails or - in the case of Mumia - letters to verify the signatures on such a consequential statement.
b. Why did the Guardian not verify with the signatories that what they were publishing was indeed what the signatories had read?
The @guardian is responsible for ensuring accuracy. It turns out that they let slip a poorly executed intelligence operation.
Looking forward to the @Guardian headline. "Onlookers horrified as Palestinian prisoner found strangled by rope".

Every single person, particularly the @andyburnham govt, should hang their heads in shame for supporting this barbaric, uncivilised entity. His govt is supplying arms, intel & military support to carry out atrocities and, despite knowing it's genocide, not a single sanction.
Instead of taking accountability, The Guardian is condemning the criticism of journalists and goes as far as to distance itself from the right-wing press (Murdoch and co).
In reality, The Guardian likely caused even more damage than The Times and co, due to its facade of being a 'liberal', 'progressive' paper.
Dr Jason Arday repeatedly raised safeguarding risks to The Guardian directly. They ignored every single one.
He also flagged the bad-faith questions he was asked by The Guardian's journalists.
The Guardian is completely unregulated, so there is no accountability. They are almost identical to US papers in that sense.
Their coverage of the Gaza genocide has been appalling. In conclusion, they are a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The Guardian can get fucked.
"The Guardian had more unsourced reporting of anti-semitic criticisms surrounding me than any other paper, including the Mail, Telegraph & the Sun" - Jeremy Corbyn.

@I_amMukhtar The Guardian were literally warned of the risk to Arday's wellbeing and the conflict of interest involving the person writing on Arday but ignored it and chose to keep going ahead as normal https://t.co/RDDkMT2mM9
Gotta hand it to the Guardian, getting a posh graduate of a £33k pa private school, who became Guardian fashion editor at 27, to write a piece on one of the key achievements of working class organised labour is *chefs kiss*

@FranceskAlbs Mohammed Saha? Who he?
I think you'll find the quote was from Mohamad Safa

I hope this was just a mistype.
If not, it's another reason to #DumpTheGuardian
The poor and middle-class are paying taxes, the rich are paying accountants, and the wealthy are paying politicians. That’s the circle.
The Guardian has published a profile on the new chancellor John Healey.
There’s not a single mention of the RAF spy flights over Gaza he oversaw as defence secretary.
Nor of the close ties he cultivated with Israel in that role.
This is propaganda by omission.

The Guardian publishes yet another propaganda piece from Venezuela,
which fails to mention decades of extreme western sanctions as the reason there is a lack of heavy machinery available for earthquake rescue.

Two months after we found a US War Dept document revealing US military sites in Britain, the Guardian writes an article based on the same document, without mentioning us.
Who would have thought?

This thread from @carolecadwalla suggests yet another reason why.
NEW: I’ve found an opaque financial vehicle owns a large chunk of the Observer. And neither it or the Guardian will say who it is. Why?
Well there is a clue. Which goes by way of Saudi Arabia…
1/

This sums up the Guardian.
Starmer is complicit in the Gaza genocide.
But the Guardian is happy to publish a puff piece based on briefings by Labour ‘aides’ that the PM will now become more ‘authentic’.
Who’s buying it?

@medialens Life in Polly land must be very exhausting.
Luckily it has few inhabitants.
Ridiculous woman.

The Guardian wants you to believe Palestinians are dying of natural causes, not conditions forced on them by Israel’s genocide.
That’s why the Guardian won’t even name Israel.

@ToryFibs @ZackPolanski Oh well done! I haven't seen it yet; hope you said 'happy holidays' to really wind the up.
