I think you should claim if you have storage capacity for O.U.'s, but if you're referring to the #E2PRV, (player resource validation system), and it's been 1 year without an outcome, I would think about cancelling it. I believe we pointed out in a number of articles, and I think it's been pointed out in Discord previously, if you have old claims that have not yet been approved the team was just leaving them there for you to cancel so you and other Players didn't lose #Essence. They were doing this as a courtesy.
The #E2PRV was designed to give #rewards for those who participate. All of this is automated & #Players knew what those rewards were. If not many #Resource locations are submitted successfully, then they will become more scarce for the #EcoSim which is also a long term reward. Even if we set some new locations for those #resources inside #E2V1 long term, #Players would still need to discover them so I feel it's possible #resource locations being confirmed when the #E2PRV remains open will have that potential long term reward.
@CityMadara What I am saying is under certain circumstances we will, but otherwise we will not. If you want to confirm you have a specific resource for sure then submit a successful #E2PRV claim or monitor successful claims & try your luck at buying close to those claims.

Will resources also be distributed to land from the Earth 2 team or will it strictly only be discovered on properties via the #E2PRV system 🤔

@AmucityGames At present all allocation will be via #E2PRV. Later we may release some additional locations if our team decide it is required, but that is not the plan for now. If a Player needs a resource they don't have they may need to trade to get it which is what we want - trading.
Let's be clear here, #E2PRV was not broken, the reward was too high which resulted in risk over protocol. The current E2PRV system is working fine at 6.5% & we're receiving better quality claims so it looks like some #Players putting in the time continuing to use E2PRV will have a nice holding of #Silver, #Copper & other new resources as they are released.
In comparison, the original #Essence reward started with 100% & even though we dropped it to 50% it was still high enough that #Players were willing to overlook the potential loss & take a risk - for which many were overall rewarded than not rewarded, given the majority of the initial claims were in fact approved!
This is why I referred to it as a unique opportunity & was happy for #Players participating in staking.
We also stated there would be rejections from the very start & that #Players should submit valid claims (some invalid claims got lucky falling inside the resulting boundary of a validated claim).
With safeguards in place to deter bad/incorrect claims, we could only assume #Players were creating bona fide claims & the onus was on the #stakers to trust these claims - this was a community / collaborative effort supposed to help a small team of 4-5 ( #CAT) in the office validate resource locations for #Players.
I asked the #CAT to be lenient, and from what they showed me, they were. They found it hard to justify approving claims that were in the wrong country, copy paste claims for data that was incorrect anyway & many other scenarios (they provided a few examples in the article).
Now, there may be some good claims that were overlooked, there is always the possibility of human error which is why we opened the appeal window. If you have a good claim, just send the claim number & it will be reviewed again. Simple.
But now a group are claiming that #Earth2 should take responsibility & refund #Essence staked on claims flagged for #rejection.
Of course this is beneficial for the #Players complaining, but this would also turn the entire initiative into "just stake anything and you will be rewarded for it", which is not the overall message we sent & more importantly is not fair for the large, vocal group of #Players who then did not #stake because they certainly did not interpret our overall messaging as "we will reward you for anything you stake".
So our solution will include a choice, be fair, direct & to the point:
Those demanding #Earth2 take responsibility & refund staked #Essence, you will have it, for every claim you staked, but demanding the refund means you are claiming the E2PRV system was unfair, for whatever reason, and therefore you will also lose every reward you received via the system.
That means you, as a #Player, will 100% have the choice on your refund but you will not gain anything nor lose anything apart from the time you put into #staking which is more than fair & balances out the potential rewards "lost" by Players who did not #stake because they did not interpret our otherwise clear messages to mean "every stake whether successful or not would be rewarded".
It’s disheartening to see the #Earth2 community split like this, with one side claiming they were misled and the other side claiming the losers are trying to cause a commotion to get their own way.
If the complaints are genuine & these #Players claim the E2PRV system was unfair, then the above solution should appease those who are upset & believe #Earth2 should take some form of responsibility. Anyone who continues to argue would appear to be looking to personally gain more than what they have already gained.
This decision will already take extra admin time in the office & extra dev time to implement a system to refund #Essence and remove #Rewarded #Essence but honestly, we have much bigger and more important things to do right now so let’s just wrap this up.
So for those who want to request a refund, simply email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Earth 2 account, with this message:
"I, *your full name* request to receive a refund of the Essence I have staked in E2PRV and wholly understand that I am thereby forfeiting any Essence rewards I have received via staking in E2PRV."
You will have 7 days to submit this request and once the email is sent it is final, no changes will be accepted and no email responses will be sent.
It is currently almost midnight Saturday here but when staff are available an announcement will be sent out confirming the above.

There is some really important information in this article so please be sure to check it out carefully when you have a spare moment.
The reduction of the reward to 6.5% & the real possibility of rejections should be a clear sign for stakers to take their staking seriously.
We will also keep our eyes on how the new adjustments function & will tweak further where necessary, especially for the timer, we may increase the countdown but we also don't want to damage the group collaboration efforts.
Remember, there are #Players who work together as a group to claim & stake, who also do an amazing service mapping out resource locations, so we need to carefully balance outside opportunity & the timer will already provide a bigger advantage for #roguestakers. In fact, the timer may also make it even harder to get a stake in on a claim.
We will monitor closely in any case, but hopefully the reduction in rewards & the real threat of rejections will cause #Players to be more careful about what they stake. I'm not expecting large volumes of claims, this is simply an opportunity for #Players to self claim, something I want to continue offering to our community.

There are many suggestions, where do we draw the line? Many we listen to, some we take note of to implement at a later date & others are delayed due to other priorities. Should we perfect #E2PRV & delay other features? It's often easy to sit back & point fingers. And this "Sand & Camel" claim - I am not sure why it is brought up so often? It was flagged to be rejected but ended up falling into the boundary of a successful claim, so luckily for that #Player + stakers it was approved due to another claim in the area being successful. Not sure why it is referred to so often, we were very clear from the start that illegitimate claims could be approved if they call within the boundary of a successful claim.
@gonzalo_fuente1 Yes, as #theCAT has finished the initial #E2PRV #Claims we thought we should keep them busy & focus on some other resources which will become important in the #EcoSim. Silver and Copper will roll out a little differently, but wait for the announcement to learn more.

Also the limit mentioned in #E2PRV article says limited to amount of properties, you say increase from 20 to 100, will we eventually see this "unlimited" as suggested or will blog be edited?
