🚨 AI-enhanced reconnaissance is changing how Initial Access Brokers (IAB) identify and monetize victims. Group-IB has uncovered #BraZetsu, a modular Python-based Windows #malware framework attributed with high confidence to Brazilian threat actor #Exilware. Unlike a conventional #infostealer, BraZetsu is designed to turn compromised systems into commercial assets for the underground economy. Its capabilities include: 🔹 AI-driven reconnaissance to assess and prioritize potentially valuable compromised systems 🔹 27 functions for system, network, browser, software, and financial environment discovery 🔹 Targeting across 20+ categories, including #banking, ERP, e-commerce, SCADA, government, healthcare, #crypto, and DevOps environments 🔹 Collection of browser history, #financial files, digital certificates, and system intelligence 🔹 WebSocket-based C2 supporting persistent communication and remote command execution 🔹 Integration with the Infected Marketplace, enabling criminals to purchase access to compromised systems and deploy their own payloads Group-IB also traced five versions of BraZetsu, documenting its evolution from basic remote access capabilities into a specialized IAB framework focused on maximizing the commercial value of compromised systems. Group-IB has identified #BraZetsu, a modular Python-based Windows #malware framework attributed with high confidence to the Brazilian threat actor #Exilware. Rather than operating as a conventional infostealer, BraZetsu functions as an Initial Access Broker (IAB) toolkit, performing deep reconnaissance to identify and classify high-value compromised systems across corporate, financial, industrial, government, and other environments.
