👉 FEPS President @NicolasSchmitEU opened the session with a call to raise our voices to defend #WomenRights, including reproductive rights, and to ensure women's meaningful participation in international politics.
Co-chair @AnnLinde and other participants in the Ministerial Conference stressed the need for governments to put in place concrete tools and resources to implement #FFP strategies.
The discussion then turned to the upcoming EU Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (#WPS), with contributions from across the group, notably from:
🔸 @YPYurchenko, Senior Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, proposed recommendations for gender informed reconstruction in Ukraine, placing care work at the centre and advocating for strong labour institutions
🔸 @BergmanRosamond, Associate Professor of International Relations and Gender and affiliated researcher at @lunduniversity and the University of Edinburgh, emphasised the need for a more intersectional approach in EU foreign and security policies.
More broadly, the Collective exchanged insights to advance #FeministForeignPolicy in Europe and globally.

👉 A key focus of the session was to discuss the Collective’s contributions to the #EUGenderBudgeting debate for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034). This comes ahead of the civil society conference "Gender budgeting in the new EU #MFF" where the Collective, represented by Aline Burni (ODI Europe), will discuss the EU’s Global Europe programme.
Led by FFPPVC co-chairs @machriscabreros and @AnnLinde, members also shared reflections from the UN Commission on the Status of Women (#CSW) and exchanged expectations for the upcoming Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy, to be hosted by the Government of Spain in Madrid in June 2026. 🇪🇸
More broadly, they exchanged insights and strengthened collaboration to advance feminist foreign policy in Europe and globally.
