The mind-bending Patagonian terrain and unpredictable, ferocious weather means horses, the original 4×4, remain the vehicle of choice.

Our races live in places where humans + horses + history combine. As riders race across the Gaucho Derby course they may find artifacts like these stones used by the Native Tehuelche people, in their bola hunting weapons.

Many familiar faces have graced the Gaucho Derby, like Antoine Carl. He happens to be a veteran of the Mongol Derby and earlier this year, tackled everything Patagonia had to offer.

There's no better place than in Argentine Patagonia where riders from across the world come and experience the horses of the legendary Gauchos first hand.
