With the #MenAreNotVeryGoodAt tag trending I wonder if too much of social media reduces complex human experience to hashtags and soundbites. The #GilletteAd controversy for example, which I think went about the right thing in the wrong way.
This is really well written 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

The same people bitching about this ad being sexist most likely thought the #GilletteAd was perfectly acceptable.
Critics on social media said the ad made it seem like the woman was being pressured to keep her weight in check.

#icymi We made reference to the #gillettead during this episode with @Jason__Rosario. Two things were missing according to him:
1. The context behind the video
2. What do men do now?
What do ya'll think? Do you agree?

You need to do like the #gillettead says, and start being a better, less toxic man, today...
Stop blaming your victim for your abusive, shitty behavior, and take responsibility ...

I am reporting your hateful tweet for abuse... there is simply no excuse for your hate speech... i hope you use your account suspension to reflect upon your toxic behavior, and do like the #gillettead says, and be a better man ... stop the abuse..
@SamDalglish @LunaMay196 @foluof @geralds1 @FeministEmiIy @ThatFreeWilliam @DanaMAdams A healthier view: women are systematically expected to conform to certain standards to avoid making men uncomfortable. Men often don't have the skills to deal because - wow! - toxic masculinity makes it Not Cool. But it will require work by men to change this pattern. #GilletteAd

Rather than back off on the #agitprop following consumer backlash for its #GilletteAd, P&G virtue signals Social Justice again, this time with race baiting #propaganda https://t.co/KM4G2OzE7J
@JingleXDingle @donnagreen4 @LailaMickelwait @Martina @nordicmodelnow Attack the demand, hold men accountable, teach younger generation to respect girls, close strip clubs where younger girls are pimped, mandatory reporting and monitoring of massage parlors and hotels. Never prosecute the ones in prostitution. More #gillettead
Such a beautiful ad wrapped with true emotions between a father and a son. Really got me crying!
