In May-June 1916, the #Ottoman 🇹🇷 military general Fakhri Pasha bombed #Makkah 🕋 and killed Muslims, because their own appointed Emir Hussain bin Ali Al-Hashmi aka Shareef Hussain revolted against Ottomans with the help of #Lawrence of Arabia, to establish #Hashimite Caliphate.
