#Helldivers2 | #Helldivers | #HelldiversLore 🌍Sectors of Super Earth | "HOME" Credits: HD Wiki Super Earth, being the shining bastion of Prosperity, Liberty and Managed Democracy that it has always been, is possibly the only planet in the entire galaxy to feature multiple biomes. However, due to the Great War (https://t.co/Bp2OR2Xw7N), its northern hemisphere has been rendered partially uninhabitable. Nevertheless, Super Earth managed to eventually optimize itself into seven separate sectors. Sector 1 | Formerly known as "Oceania", this sector is mostly comprised of an arid desert continent formally known as Australia, along with several tropical islands, archipelagos, and peninsulas that once formed part of a continent called "Asia". It is the home of Mega City 1. Sector 2 | Much of Sector 2 consists of lands formerly known as "China" and "Asia", with territory stretching north into the area once known as "Mongolia" and "Siberia". The eastern and central parts of this sector are mostly comprised of ancient mountains and forests. Deserts and parts of an arid steppe are found to the north and west. Wild horsemen once roamed freely in this land, the spirit of Freedom burning ablaze in their hearts. This Sector is home to the Great Wall of Democracy, as well as Mega City 2. Sector 3 | Formerly known as "Russia" by some, and "Scandinavia" by others, this sector is mostly comprised of cold mountains, tundras, fjords and ice fields that will freeze the enemies of freedom. To its north lies a now-uninhabitable set of islands formerly known as "The British Isles". These isles are speculated to be where the phrase "How about a nice cup of Liber-tea!" originated from. This Sector is the home of Mega City 4, and the landscape consists of plains, mountains, and forests. Its southern portion shares the ancient continent of "Africa" with Sector 5, covering much of the western Sahara Desert and the Atlas Mountains. Sector 5 | Formerly known by the names of "India" and "Arabia", Sector 5 consists of many different lands. It encapsulates areas formerly known as the "Arabian Peninsula", "India", the southern portion of the ancient continent of "Asia", and the easternmost portion of the ancient continent of "Africa" in which it is rumoured that the first humans were born. Much of the sector is dry and hot, with over half of the sector consisting of scorching deserts. It possesses two of the last three remaining rainforests and is home to Mega City 5 and the Pyramids of Super Earth. Sector 6 | Formerly known as "Latin America", Sector 6 consists of the Central and Southern portions of the ancient continent of "America". It also manages the southern portions of the land formerly known as "the United States of America". This sector is home to Mega City 6 and houses one of the last three remaining rainforests. Sector 7 | Formerly known as "the United States of America", Sector 7 consists of the Northern portions of the ancient continent of "America". This Sector is rumoured to have been the birthplace of Super Earth's core tenets of Freedom and Democracy, with its inhabitants having a reputation of high patriotism and love for their compatriots, values that would later be imprinted into all Super Earth citizens. Sector 7 is home to to Mega City 7, as well as Superstone Park. Oceans and Poles | Super Earth's mass is comprised of around 70% water, which required the division of its water masses into 3 sections: 1. Liberty Ocean (formerly known as the "Pacific Ocean") 2. Atlantic Ocean 3. Pan-Asian Ocean (formerly known as the "Indian Ocean") There used to be permafrost ice caps on both the north and south poles of Super Earth known as "Antarctica" and "the Arctic". However, these ice caps were melted away at some point prior to the First Galactic War, as their ice was incapable of sustaining all of mankind's prosperity. #Helldivers2 | #Helldivers | #HelldiversLore Automaton Fleet Destroyer | The "Stingray" The Automaton fleet destroyer is a faster-than-light capable warship built by the Automatons. They were first seen during the Reclamation campaign (Operation Bulwark) when a massive fleet of them warped in from deep space, overrunning the Valdis Sector in a matter of hours. They are notable for their surprisingly distinctive but boring brutalist look, which has been mockingly referred to as "flying power bricks" or "cargo containers with FTL capabilities" (the cargo of course being bots). Even so these vessels remain capable warships, with the Super Earth Navy unable to completely halt the fleet's advance through direct means, necessitating the Helldivers to slow them as much as possible through other means... General | The exact size of an Automaton fleet destroyer is currently up for debate, though from what can be seen, they are likely larger than Super Earth's own Super Destroyers. The Automaton fleet destroyer is also capable of FTL travel, though whether they make use of the Alcubierre Drive or some other method of interstellar flight is unknown. However it is likely that they are using inferior FTL drives, given that these ships can't navigate to any planet in the galaxy like the Super Destroyer can, instead resorting to shorter range 'planet to planet' jumps, which has slowed the Automatons advance considerably. Exterior | Automaton fleet destroyer maintains the monolithic design seen in Automaton facilities and war machines, though is visually distinguished by it's two hexagonal hull sections (the forward "Muzzle" connecting to a central "body"), which then connects to a rectangular bank of engines. What the automaton warship lacks in aesthetics, the design likely makes up for in utility, by maximizing the thrust to weight and cargo ratio, whilst also presenting as few structural weaknesses as possible.
