The INTEGRATE trial found that geriatricians and oncologists working in partnership increased quality of life, and reduced hospital admissions and early discontinuation of treatment.
Findings were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting on Friday.
That would be potential #INTEGERATE spinoff project idea number... what are we up to? 7? 8? Lots of good ideas coming out of this work! #ASCO20

@angelinatjokdoc @KhengSoo1 Remember: the intervention in #INTEGERATE was one geriatrician consultation and assessment. Everything else was resultant activation and appropriate use of existing support services that might not otherwise have been used with standard care. #GeriOnc #ASCO20
@angelinatjokdoc Funny you should say that - next output from @KhengSoo1 #INTEGERATE will be on health resource use (data collected, analysis TBD). I’d be surprised if it were not positive: observed reduction in ED and admissions would pay for a lot of geriatrician time. #ASCO20

@EnriqueSoto8 @ASCO @Prof_IanD The intervention happened in parallel with cancer tx, so most had the geriatrician intervention after starting tx. No significant differences were noted in dose reduction or escalation or delay.

@EnriqueSoto8 @KhengSoo1 @ASCO #ELFI came from a parallel study to develop a simple validated 12-item tool for assessment of relevant self-reported functioning. Other tools also used but ELFI was primary endpoint for #INTEGERATE.
