Quite right. I agree that the left’s real humiliation over Arday isn’t the plagiarism or the collapsing fairytales. It’s that they were too busy blowing smoke up his arse and treating every extravagant claim as though sacred (#jamesobrien et al, ding ding ding), to bother with even a modicum of basic professional scrutiny. That it largely fell to the right to force the truth into the open only makes the institutional (left leaning) failure more complete.
