Not necessarily a "Labor voter" but I live in this electorate and put the Greens below both Libs and Labor. I also worked in conservation and land management for over a decade. 1. This was the Australian election not the election for Gaza. What the greens have done siding with the worst elements of religious partisanship is gross. The people that they've stood with are as bad as Nazis. Absolutely rancid. 2. They're not really an environmental party. Nobody I worked with in Australia's most endangered habitats took them seriously on this stuff. There's some easy wins on the environment available but they're too busy fucking around with culture wars and identity politics. 3. They block housing. Almost without fail. They literally side with people who are upset that new apartments might overlook their tennis court than the people who might live in those apartments. They care about bullshit heritage protections more than the western plains grasslands that are bulldozed. Sometimes you've gotta pick one and they tend to side with the people who want to protect 100 year old houses with mediocre architecture rather than grasslands that have been here for thousands. There's other reasons for me but these are a couple that others might share.
