I know this account has been very inactive for much of 2024, but I haven't gone anywhere and work on an updated #KillerAppMod and #UserError 3 for #TRON 2.0 is still progressing.
They will get done, despite IRL issues.

Today marks the 21st Anniversary of #TRON 2.0, which released on August 26, 2003.
Despite the recent inactivity on this account, work has continued on the #KillerAppMod and an updated version will be released ASAP, very likely within the next 2 months.
While recording one of the latest TRON 2.0 #KillerAppMod v1.2 progress videos, I noticed a texture used during zoom for the LOL was a bit rough at higher resolutions. So I gave that the upscaling treatment, with a bit of manual touch-up.

Here's an attempt in the upcoming #KillerAppMod v1.2 to fix an issue causing players to get stuck in TRON 2.0, on the Alan's Desktop PC level.

#KillerAppMod v1.2 will feature upscaled textures. But upscaling was done selectively. Upscaling all the textures, en masse, would consume a lot more memory and disk space, for little benefit.

I'll try to keep on top of TRON Ares news from now on, but I want to thank @Employee___427 so much for keeping me in the loop while I've been busy working on the #KillerAppMod . . . and also unfortunately became ill for a month, and wasn't online during that time.
So at the risk of being shadowbanned, I'm going to share my Mastodon account link in a pinned tweet. It will act as a replacement for the Twitter Moments where I was sharing #KillerAppMod updates.
Since there's nothing on Mastodon yet, I won't share the link until it's ready.
You also may, or may not, have noticed how inactive this account has been for the past couple of months.
Part of that was because, earlier on, I was focusing on #KillerAppMod v1.2. But another reason is because I've been very ill for about the past month.
Also, since Valve recently discounted it for the first time, I picked up a Steam Deck! (64GB, can upgrade to NVMe SSD later.)
Now I'll be able to test #TRON 2.0 and #KillerAppMod updates on the Steam Deck to make sure they work. Can also try getting TRON Evolution to work on it.
Trying to work on #KillerAppMod v1.2 while keeping up with the avalanche of recent TRON news proved impossible, and I'm just catching up now: distilling it down to what I hope is a good representation of the "best of" all the recent exciting TRON news.

Meanwhile, the RTGI ray tracing shader for ReShade will work on any GPU. Even if the results probably won't be quite as good, more people can experience a form of ray tracing in #TRON 2.0 (see screenshots).
I'll at least include my preset for RTGI in a #KillerAppMod update.
