Digging through some of my Mams’s old military photos. There’s quite a few. This from 1933. I’m assuming this is Ravensdowne, Barracks, Berwick on Tweed. #KOSB My uncle was initially with the KOSB and my wife’s grandfather was RSM at Berwick and then at Hawick.
His Chief of Staff Lt Col Charles Mackenzie wears his Queen's Own Cameroon Highlanders cap badge in his #Airborne maroon beret @airbornemuseum a tradition continued in @16AirAssltBCT where I wore my #KOSB cap badge and again at #Arnhem80.

We visited last year for Arnhem80 and met the inspirational Mr Geoff Roberts, who fought with B Coy, 7 KOSB, and who now aged 100 still comes back to remember his fallen comrades. Humbling to meet him and hear his accounts of the fierce fighting.
