This is Peter. 💔⚽ He hasn't got long left to live due to a terminal illness and Peter’s final wish was to watch Ajax play one last time. But yesterday’s home match against FC Groningen at the Johan Cruijff ArenA was abandoned after just five minutes due to safety concerns caused by fireworks set off in the stands. The match has been rescheduled for tomorrow and will be played behind closed doors. Peter, however, will still be there. Ajax have granted him special permission to attend - making him the only fan in the stadium.

The memory of us talking about how I was going to catch up to you in those weight room records at Uschool cane flooding back. Wouldn’t be the person or athlete I am today if you didn’t push me to go harder in the weight room every time you saw me. Rest easy brother🕊🙏 #LLPeter
