@JitoKayumba @ColinBirdMining - https://t.co/kkgt03UUGt Progress is being made on the #Luansobe #Mopani situation which is good to hear. The article shows the progress #Zambia is making in the mining industry, that the progress is being recognised internationally, and the regulatory regime. #Copper
#GLR Roast Podcast: https://t.co/VgwMUxdQML The podcast felt much more positive than the market may be giving Galileo credit for. CB sounded confident that #Luansobe can be resolved favourably and again called it potentially company-making, although it still needs a proper agreement before the value can be relied on. #Molefe also sounds increasingly interesting: Galileo has earned its 23.75% interest, Jubilee is trying to secure more surrounding ground, and Galileo expects to get involved in further exploration across what Bird sees as a potentially extensive, open-pittable oxide copper trend. There was plenty else going on too. Shinganda has apparently attracted outside interest and Galileo is even considering whether it could mine it itself, although that would need the right mining licence, permits, funding and a proper development case. Western Foreland has five or six planned drill targets and reported interest from others, with drilling now likely to wait until the next dry season because of access issues. Ferber remains the big exploration wild card: management is trying to secure a rig and says the work so far strongly supports a porphyry-plus-skarn system. Overall, it sounded like Galileo has moved from having cash but few immediate projects to having several live routes to create value—now it needs the legal resolution, drilling and licences to turn the narrative into results. Getting there! @ColinBirdMining @RoastPR @that_stocks_guy

#Luansobe #Zambia - local and international investors are looking for a swift ‘Amicable’ resolution @ColinBirdMining @JitoKayumba @RoastPR 340+ jobs depend on it. Further investment depends on it.
@GalileoResource continues to discuss /negotiate amicably with key stakeholders on the #Luansobe license 'disappearance' off the #Zambia Cadastre moments from definitive legal work having been signed on a commercial deal. There are several potential outcomes. They key ones and my assessment of probability is below. @ColinBirdMining @RoastPR We shall find out in due course.

Yesterday’s RNS from Galileo Resources demonstrated progress on the current #Luansobe license disappearance from the Cadastre in favour of #Mopani mines which was not in accordance with established MRC processes, or by someone with the necessary authority. Many Ministry and investor stakeholders were surprised.
The RNS stated “Further to the announcement of 14 July 2026, the Company and Statunga continue to maintain their legal position regarding the ownership of the Licenses and continue to pursue the matter through all possible legal avenues.
The Company and Statunga however, are in dialogue with key stakeholders in order to arrive at an amicable solution. Once this process has satisfactorily concluded, shareholders will be advised as to the outcome.”
It is good to see collaboration by key stakeholders looking for a sensible outcome on an asset that is set to create 340+ jobs in the #Mufulira area in #Zambia. 🤞
Hopefully, resolution will be swift and agreeable by all parties. A huge amount of work, and investment has gone into developing the asset to this point.

With the election now concluded and President Hichilema returned to office, the focus can move back to business and investment in #Zambia. Hopefully this brings fresh momentum to resolving the #Luansobe licence issue so Galileo can progress a significant #copper asset - one that could quickly create 340+ local jobs whilst settling domestic and international investors nerves on investing in the region. @ColinBirdMining @UKinZambia @JitoKayumba @RoastPR
Some interesting quiet chatter around #Luansobe suggesting this may be moving through channels faster than the silence implies. Worth keeping an eye on developments once the election period passes - 13th August election day. #Zambia @ColinBirdMining @RoastPR
Mine life risk vs. entry-point risk — why GLR's #Luansobe dispute matters more than the headlines suggest.
A point worth separating out from the usual "#Zambia is risky" chatter: the size of an investment isn't really what should worry investors — it's the duration of exposure.
A producing mine typically runs 10-20+ years, meaning capital committed at day one remains dependent on the same institutions, contracts, and property rights holding firm for the entire life of the asset. Weak rule of law and unreliable dispute-resolution mechanisms don't just create risk at the point of entry — they compound with every additional year of operation, since there are simply more windows across a multi-decade timeline for something to go wrong.
Galileo Resources' Luansobe situation is a useful live case study of this dynamic in miniature. The capital at risk here is nowhere near the billions being discussed at a national level for Zambian copper investment generally, yet the licence dispute - cadastre 'disappearance', an unresolved MRC complaint, and a pending court case just to establish basic title security shows how quickly even a modest position can be jeopardised when the underlying legal protections aren't robust.
The broader read-through for anyone assessing Zambian mining names: the market may be pricing country risk primarily around headline investment size and near-term political stability, when the more relevant variable is whether legal and institutional durability exists to protect a position across a full mine life. Zambia's grade and scale advantages are real and difficult to replicate elsewhere, but cases like Luansobe suggest the risk premium currently being applied to smaller-cap names like #GLR may not yet reflect that compounding, long-duration exposure adequately.
A resolution in Galileo's favour would likely be met with a genuine sigh of relief from investors, both local and international - not just for GLR shareholders directly, but as a broader signal that Zambia's institutions can and will uphold legitimate title against a state-linked incumbent, even under domestic political pressure.
A prolonged or unfavourable resolution for Galileo would likely reinforce exactly the caution that potential and existing investors locally and internationally have been voicing. @ColinBirdMining @JitoKayumba @Marcel_Nally @RoastPR @UKinZambia @usembassyzambia
@ColinBirdMining @GalileoResource Re #Luansobe, Statunga had, amongst other actions, lodged a formal complaint with the relevant authorities, dated 12th June 2026 - four days prior to this RNS.
Has a response from the Minerals Regulation Commission or other authorities been received?
Thanks
A prompt, lawful and transparent resolution of the #Luansobe licence position in #Zambia would support Zambia’s stated aims of regulatory certainty, investor confidence, copper production growth and local employment. @JitoKayumba 300+ Jobs ready to be created.
Facts, process and wider investment questions
The #Luansobe issue needs to be assessed through documented facts and due process, rather than speculation about motives.
Statunga Investments, in which Galileo holds a 75% interest, was granted two ten-year Small-Scale Mining Licences for Luansobe:
1. 34543/HQ/SML, covering the shallow/open-pit area, and
2. 34545/HQ/SML, covering deeper underground area.
The licences were subsequently no longer shown on the Mining Cadastre portal.
Galileo has stated that Statunga has lodged a formal complaint with the #Zambia Minerals Regulation Commission and commenced legal proceedings. It has also stated that Mopani Copper Mines is a third party contesting ownership of the licences. Importantly, Statunga has obtained an injunction preventing Mopani from entering the licence area or interfering with the licences pending final determination.
This does not establish the final legal outcome, nor should shareholders presume to know the basis of Mopani’s position or the reason for the Cadastre change. Those issues require clear, formal answers from the regulator and, if necessary, the Court.
However, the broader principle matters. Zambia has made a strong case for international mining investment based on stability, transparency, the rule of law and predictable administration of mineral rights. Those are messages that matter to investors in London, Zambia, Canada, Australia the UAE and elsewhere.
A prompt, transparent and properly reasoned resolution would reinforce that progress. If there has been an administrative or procedural error, it should be corrected. If there is a legitimate competing claim, it should be determined fairly, openly and according to the applicable law. Either way, established licence holders should receive formal notice, reasons and an effective right of review.
Luansobe has the potential to create local employment, support wider Copperbelt economic activity and bring a copper project towards development.
Statunga’s Zambian ownership also means this is not simply a foreign-investor issue; it concerns the protection of legitimate local and international investment alike.
The immediate points shareholders should watch are:
1. The MRC’s response to Statunga’s complaint.
2. Any formal reasons or documents explaining the Cadastre position.
3. The progress and scope of the court proceedings.
4. Continued protection of the licence area under the injunction.
5. A timely RNS if a material regulatory or legal development occurs.
The central request is not preferential treatment. It is straightforward: transparent decision-making, equal application of the law, clear reasons, and resolution without fear or favour.
@ColinBirdMining
The extraordinary #Luansobe mining license disappearance and absorption into #Mopani Mines License at Mulfulira carries wider reputational implications for #Zambia. The President’s drive for investment, transparency and rules-based governance is a major positive. A prompt, properly explained and lawful resolution will reinforce that progress; an unresolved outcome without clear due process risks damaging investor confidence well beyond one project.

Hopefully you will be aware of the siutation on the #Luansobe Small scale mining licenses awarded in 2024, which were into definitive paperwork being drawn up for a deal which would results in > 300 jobs. The 2024 licenses were then absorbed into the Mopani License via actors without the authority and process trail to do so - completely 'out of the blue'. #Zambia Lots of British Inve$tors into #Zambia are seriously impacted by this decision. Thank you.

#Luansobe #Zambia:
why Statunga’s and hence @GalileoResource position may be stronger than first appears
The key point is not simply that Statunga’s Luansobe licences disappeared from the Cadastre. Before that happened, Statunga and a third party were reportedly at the stage of preparing definitive legal transaction documents for signature.
At that stage, a credible third party would normally have completed—or be close to completing: legal, cadastral, corporate and technical due diligence. That would usually include checking licence validity, coordinates and overlaps, grant history, fees/conditions, corporate authority, beneficial ownership, and whether there were any recorded adverse claims or required consents.
So, if the counterparty was properly advised and its diligence showed no registered title problem, no live Mopani objection and no obvious statutory defect, that is meaningful independent commercial corroboration of Statunga’s title position. It does not make the licences legally unchallengeable, but it makes an alleged long-standing and obvious problem harder to reconcile with events.
The sequence becomes important:
1. Licences were formally awarded to Statunga.
2. Mopani apparently did not object during the application/grant process.
3. Statunga/Galileo progressed the project and entered advanced commercial discussions.
4. A third party was close enough to signing to prepare definitive paperwork.
5. Only then did the licences disappear from the Cadastre, with Mopani contesting ownership.
Galileo’s RNS confirms that the licences ceased appearing on the Cadastre, Statunga had already lodged a formal complaint, and the company and Statunga had been in advanced discussions with several parties about operations, partnerships and other value-adding mechanisms.
The injunction is also significant. Statunga has obtained an order preventing individuals associated with #Mopani from entering the licence area or interfering with title and quiet enjoyment pending final determination. That is not a final ruling on ownership, but it means the court considered there was an arguable case requiring preservation of the status quo.
The potential weakness is that due diligence cannot cure a genuinely invalid grant—for example, a provable pre-existing overlapping title, a statutory eligibility problem, or a consent requirement that was not met.
But if Mopani knew of the grant and did not object, and an independent party’s contemporaneous due diligence found no issue, then Galileo/Statunga have a much stronger argument on reliance, delay, procedural fairness and loss of value.
In short: a late challenge is still possible, but it ought to require a clear, documented legal basis - not merely an unexplained disappearance from the Cadastre.

@RoastPR - https://t.co/W4sJEzwgfY - @ColinBirdMining explains the RNS issued yesterday re #Luansobe. #GLR @GalileoResource

An RNS that investors did not want to see on any time of day was published PM today. The much publicised and valuable #Luansobe asset has had its licenses terminated/removed from the #Zambia Cadastre unbeknown to the legal owners. Good news is that Statunga has been awarded an Injunction against Mopani Mines (once the largest copper miner in the world) which is along strike (Mufulira) from the Luansobe asset - and that is not an easy thing to achieve - shows they have a very good legal case against Mopani (well done Judge!) . Zambia mining industry credibility is increasing so I expect Statunga to win the argument for many reasons. The asset has been developing for many years - exploration, JORCs, Mining Licenses, Block models, Consultancy Reviews etc as well as recent commercial negotiations @ColinBirdMining @that_stocks_guy https://t.co/CDUB6tfEZg
