C'est lors de l'édition 2026 de la #MiningIndaba en Afrique du Sud qu'African Discovery Group (#Copper_Intelligence) a annoncé les résultats d'analyse très encourageants de son récent programme d'échantillonnage des canaux sur le site d'exploration mené dans la région de #Bashu.
Le programme d'échantillonnage des canaux, mené dans diverses fosses, notamment PT9, NP03, PT14, PT16 et PT15, visait à délimiter et à confirmer la minéralisation du cuivre dans les zones cibles. Des échantillons ont été prélevés et ensuite envoyés pour analyse chimique détaillée afin de déterminer la teneur en cuivre avec précision.
"Les échantillons de canaux ont été prélevés selon les pratiques standard de l'industrie et analysés par un laboratoire accrédité pour assurer l'exactitude et la fiabilité des résultats. Les unités lithologiques étaient principalement une couche de mica-schiste, la minéralisation étant la malachite, la bornite et d'autres oxydes de cuivre. Des échantillons ont été prélevés dans des fosses existantes - tant artisanales qu'exploratoire creusées de 2024 à 2025. La zone délimitée couvre une zone d'environ 400 à 500 mètres le long de la grève à une profondeur d'environ 4,5 mètres. Les résultats montrent des interceptions confirmées de cuivre à environ 1 m sous la surface, et de manière significative, tous les fonds de la fosse sont encore dans le schiste minéralisé - encore à pénétrer dans une zone de sulfure de qualité supérieure attendue en dessous de ces oxydes" informe Copper_Intelligence.
"Ces résultats soulignent le potentiel important de la zone de #Butembo pour les gisements de cuivre à haute #teneur. La présence d'une telle minéralisation à haute teneur dans les échantillons de canaux est un indicateur fort de la poursuite de l'exploration et du développement potentiel des ressources.
La société est très enthousiasmée par ces qualités de cuivre exceptionnelles, en particulier les interceptions de 24,9% et 20,3%. Ces résultats valident notre modèle d'exploration et font progresser de manière significative la compréhension qu'a l'entreprise de la minéralisation du projet de cuivre Butembo. L'équipe de la société se concentre maintenant sur l'intégration de ces données pour planifier la prochaine phase d'exploration, qui comprendra probablement une cartographie et un forage plus détaillés afin de définir l'étendue et la continuité de ces zones à haute teneur".
