Vollzeit-Blogger #Misik (ehem.

Irre. Ich wusste nicht welch Geisteskind tatsächlich... aus.
#Misik ist nicht mehr ganz bei Verstand. Ich schließe mich dem Begriff #Brandstifter an.
The call by publicist and Suhrkamp author Robert Misik to see @ElonMusk meet the same deadly “end” as Mussolini or Hitler reveals the dangerous double standard that dominates political discourse in Germany and across much of the Western left. Only days after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, one of America’s most visible conservative leaders, an author tied to one of Berlin’s most prestigious publishing houses openly fantasizes about further murders.
The silence of the so-called conservative establishment in Germany, particularly under Friedrich Merz and his left-leaning administration, makes this episode even more alarming. Not a single word of condemnation for the assassination of Kirk, not a single word against the increasingly open calls for violence against Musk and others. That silence speaks volumes.
Misik’s words illustrate the degree to which parts of Germany’s intellectual and media class have normalized leftist hatred against conservatives. Instead of sober debate, the rhetoric has descended into dehumanization, with opponents branded as “fascists” and placed in the same sentence as Hitler, regardless of historical accuracy or moral coherence.
The dangerous reference to Hitler is not just sloppy, it is manipulative. Hitler committed suicide; he was not executed like Mussolini. To invoke him in order to smear Musk is an act of propaganda designed to strip away legitimacy from anyone who challenges the left’s dominance in media and politics.
The deeper scandal is not merely what Misik wrote, but the protective shield that German legacy media outlets and cultural elites extend over their own. Suhrkamp has long styled itself as a moral authority in German publishing. Now one of its own authors openly celebrates the idea of political executions. Yet the outrage that would erupt if a conservative intellectual had written something even remotely similar is nowhere to be found. Instead, the leftist press either downplays or ignores the incident.
This moment underscores how selective outrage works in Germany. Violence from the left, or incitement to it, is dismissed as provocation or ignored entirely. Violence from the right, by contrast, is magnified into a national emergency. This imbalance fuels polarization and erodes trust. When conservatives are murdered, as in the case of Charlie Kirk, there is silence. When Elon Musk is targeted by threats, the same institutions remain quiet, as if such calls are acceptable when directed against those who challenge their leftist monopoly.
What emerges is not simply hypocrisy but a systemic bias. It is a bias that treats conservative lives as expendable, dismisses their deaths as isolated, and excuses threats against them as political speech. This silence will not erase the reality: conservatives are under attack, and the institutions that claim to defend democracy are increasingly complicit by omission.
