This doesn't surprise me. They just need to use the #NIDSRuling as a checklist of how to do NIDS the right way:
- make it voluntary
- proper restrictions on who has access to the database
- limitations on third party access
- strong safeguards on biometric data
- Etc...

@Zemi66 @JenniferHousen The answer to that is in the #NIDSRuling too just look for the word "sever", all three judges talked about it: Parliament had a certain intent when they passed the law, and the judges felt when all the problematic bits are stripped out what is left no longer satisfies that intent
@JenniferHousen The #NIDSRuling reads like a PhD thesis, it is 400 pages of very well researched legal argument, with each point backed up by multiple references. To simply call it "questionable" and sling a personal insult at the judges questioning their "intellectual depth" is disingenuous.
