It was such a privilege to present at the #NMAHPMFT25 Conference on #JoyinWork. I was blown away by the excellent work ongoing at this Trust, and itβs always wonderful to hear @WestM61 insights. Still buzzing! Thank you all! π
@sandycann2 @PAIGILLY No critical analysis from anybody. Any old narrative will do. "It's all wonderful". Must be the education system at fault. #NMAHPMFT25
@PAIGILLY More simplistic unscientific business school-style narrative from West filling ppls heads with mush. #NMAHPMFT25 https://t.co/kL23BY7Ajq

West pushes a very simplistic unscientific business school-style narrative on #compassion #compassionateleadership. It's wide open to game playing, manipulation, performative virtue signalling etc using cognitive empathy. It is very complex science not a binary switch. Toxic behaviour often trumps compassionate behaviour. West's focus is #toxicpositivity.
A wonderful day today at the #NMAHPMFT25 conference. Fantastic speakers including @WestM61 and Julia Wood

What a great end to the #NMAHPMFT25 Conference - the award ceremony was uplifting and inspiring but even better 2 colleagues from @NorthMcrGH_NHS were 2 of the 6 overall GEM winners - well done to all the winners but especially Hannah Crossley and Amy Curran π π @MFTnhs

Last few sections of the day before presentations- an introduction to Catalys by Judith Johnson ##NMAHPMFT25 @NorthMcrGH_NHS @MFTnhs
Inspiring presentation from Michael West. Really made me think when he asked how compassionate are you to yourself? Showing compassionate to others is such a significant part of nursing but I think a lot of nurses struggle to show self-compassion! #NMAHPMFT25
