That time of the month again...#NOPA! Where we find out how many more beans we #crushed versus expectations...just as we've continued to do from day one...in fact, while we've blown the freaking doors off any previous monthly record, we've actually beaten each month's estimate by MORE than the previous month for the entire marketing year. This month, no difference... 214.3 million-bushels! a 15%+ YoY gain for the month of June, beating even the highest trade guess of 211.8. This puts the pace right back to ~12.5% AHEAD, with two months left in the marketing year... USDA, meanwhile....."meh, probably only ~8% higher YoY"... Just a difference of a cool ~110 million-bushels...NBD. And probably not a big deal that soy oil stocks were 150 million below the avg trade guess, trending well-below the five-year avg. while margins remain explosive, and yields remain lower-than-normal... +180 vs the August looks about right now.

This puts the pace right back to ~12.5% AHEAD, with two months left in the marketing year...

USDA, meanwhile....."meh, probably only ~8% higher YoY"...

Just a difference of a cool ~110 million-bushels...NBD.

And probably not a big deal that soy oil stocks were 150 million below the avg trade guess, trending well-below the five-year avg. while margins remain explosive, and yields remain lower-than-normal...

+180 vs the August looks about right now.

#nopa NOPA April US soybean crush below most estimates at 211.856 million bushels. The U.S. soybean crush in April fell short of most trade estimates as the daily processing pace dropped to the lowest level since September, according to monthly National Oilseed Processors Association data issued on Friday. NOPA members, which account for nearly all soybeans processed in the United States, crushed 211.856 million bushels of soybeans last month, down 6.3% from the 226.161 million bushels crushed in March but up 11.4% from the April 2025 crush of 190.226 million bushels.

7 months through the marketing year, and every month we beat the estimated pace by even more than the month before...and USDA still only has us projected at a 6.75% YoY increase, when we're running double that. Why are they sandbagging this data so bad? Sure, maybe exports are lower to offset...maybe...but why not get current with the proof in data that we have?

Even after the recent tip of the cap from USDA on crush demand, we remain ~13% ahead of their projected pace; they're only forecasting for about half that YoY gain...you'd think after getting halfway thru the marketing year while blowing monthly records out of the water along the way, this data would look more current.
