One of our OneWeb satellites captured this graphic of the Artemis capsule as it returned to Earth at over 20,000 mph 🚀 In the animation, the red circles highlight stars that are moving in the same direction, due to the satellite movement. The blue trace shows the Artemis capsule, moving across the picture in a different direction. Using trajectory data, the right observation conditions and the appropriate satellite, our teams programmed the star tracker to focus on a specific point of interest. Once the data was retrieved, they were able to track the capsule as it moved through space. As space becomes increasingly crowded, utilising new tracking capabilities is essential to keeping infrastructure safe.
