A good initiative by @ELCIA_IN to distribute NCMC-compliant Orbit prepaid smart cards. They are also offering Metro Travel Incentives of ₹1,500 for 250 employees who use the metro. These measures will encourage more people to use mass public transport systems such as the Metro in the Electronics City cluster. Hoping to see more such initiatives being rolled out by all transport parastatals in the city soon.

We asked startups to come up with innovations for @ELCIA_IN back in April as part of our STAMP Nudge initiative to get corporate employees to switch to public transport. 4 winners emerged each with a different solution. The first one to be rolled out is #OrbitWallet which is NCMC card but also much more! We hope to find practical solutions and assess impact and nudge the companies to institute policies for public transport not just in @ELCITA_IN but everywhere else. @WRIIndia @ToyotaMobFdn @GBAChiefComm @gba_bcac @OfficialBMRCL @BMTC_BENGALURU @ninacgeorge @naveenmzs @asra_mavad @ever_pessimist
