Another #Triassic specimen for #FossilFriday. Multiple #osteoderms of #Desmatosuchus (DMNH 9940) from the Post Quarry, west Texas. Collected 1977, these #aetosaur armor plates were pretty blown up until @PerotMuseum team started reassembly last month. #paleontology #fossils

#FossilFriday Big 13 million-year-old #osteoderms (shell bones) of the #Miocene #pampathere Scirrotherium from La Venta, #Colombia. These "glyptodillos" have a gap in their fossil record that probably extends back to the Eocene (20+ million years). 'Hope we eventually fill it!🤞
