"Respecting for the Vack." Over the years, I’ve listened to a lot of football coaches’ interviews. Southeastern Louisiana HC Frank Scelfo is one of those respected old-school coaches known for his blunt, honest analysis after both wins and losses. At his Monday night radio show and press event at Brady’s Restaurant in downtown Hammond, Coach Scelfo spoke about his respect for UTRGV and his team’s excitement to finally play at The Vack. He understands the challenge of playing on the road against a Vaqueros team that remains undefeated at home. That says a lot about the atmosphere UTRGV has created at home. Now it’s time to protect the Vack. The Vaqueros have an opportunity to reset, respond and remind everyone what this team can look like in front of its home crowd. New week. New opportunity. Let’s pack The Vack, bring the energy and make sure opposing teams understand what it means to play in Edinburg. Protect the Vack. #UTRGV #Vaqueros #ProtectTheVack
