The @AUC_PAPS through the AU Centre for Post Conflict Reconstruction & Development (#PCRD) embarked on the roll-out of Quick Impact Project (School Renovation) in KPOR TOWN PUBLIC SCHOOL - MARGIBI COUNTY on 19-23 October 2025 in the Republic of #Liberia🇱🇷 (a PCRD Priority Country).
This support came in few months after the assessment mission was completed by the AU in collaboration with the Government of Liberia (MOFA - Foreign Affairs & MINED - Education Ministry) and Messengers of Peace (MOP), the local CSO (official Partner of the AU) to facilitate smooth implementation on the ground.
This intervention falls within the prescribed Mandate of the PCRD Centre which is mainly to serve as a comprehensive strategic framework for addressing the needs of countries and regions emerging from conflict across the Continent with the main aim of 'preventing the relapse into conflicts'. The AU revised #PCRDPolicy was adopted in February 2024 with the Nine (9) Pillars, of which this project falls under Pillar 4 - Socio-economic Development & Integration.
This QIP is expected to be completed within 30 days maximum from its launch, which is one of the main criteria agreed with the 'Contractors' based on the AU's established rules & regulations, for the effective implementation as well as unveiling of such important projects.
On the margins of the 5th #AswanForum, CCCPA & APRM signed an #MoU to strengthen cooperation on Post-Conflict Reconstruction & Development (#PCRD) and #Governance, and other related areas, reaffirming our shared commitment to promoting sustainable peace in Africa.
