#PippaReview A Brilliant Story, Executed Very Poorly. 👎 This #Pippp drowned because of Bad VFX, Caricaturish Situations/Emotions and Bad Casting. Rating - ⭐⭐ #PippaOnPrime, is retelling of the Battle of Garibpur fought between #IndiaVsPakistan War on 1971. And, titled on India's amphibious war tank called the PT-76, which was popularly known as “Pippa,” akin to an empty Tin of Ghee that smoothly floats on water. The film is based on the firsthand account penned in the book The #BurningChaffees by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Director #RajaMenon known for his #AkshayKumar starring #Airlift, tried to achieve a similar success with 1971 WAR story Pippa. Tho he writes a good story and screenplay ... But the execution failed miserably.... Because of Carricaturish portrayal of sitatuations and characters. #IshaanKhatter, who played Real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta, tried hard to pull this strong role, but he simply mis-casted. Same goes with #PriyanshuPainyuli, who played Major Ram, but. Nothing looks like a Soldier. #MrunalThakur and #SoniRazdan literally wasted in this project. Just 2 scenes of Pippa, when it's swims in river gives you good feeling. WAR scenes got wasted. Bangladeshi's refugee scenes too not makes any emotional Impact. 😴 Feels like @RSVPMovies tried to release it asap on OTT, before #SamBahadur, because this movie too has #SamManekShaw reference. #ARRahman's music brings thrill and joy in this otherwise Caricaturish Film. Such a waste of a good story.
