๐บ๐ฌ ONLY THREE OF UGANDA'S 10 MRI SCANNERS ARE IN GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS
According to a statement presented to Parliament by Health Minister Dr Chris Baryomunsi, Uganda has 10 MRI scanners nationwide.
Only three are located in government hospitals, while the other seven are in private facilities.
The statement also lists 52 CT scanners and 570 X-ray machines across the country.

The Chairperson of the COSASE is presenting the committee's findings on the report of the Auditor General on the Financial Statements of the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) for the audit year ended 31st December 2025.
Poor allocative efficiency of resources was cited in the UHRC, where compensation of employee costs far exceeded the statutory limit of 65% of recurrent expenditure. #PlenaryUg
The committee also recommended that UHRC Chairperson, Mariam Wangadya be held liable for any cases irregularly closed by UHRC. #PlenaryUg
