🔶AI Agents as KOLs/Influencers: Agencies’ Paradigm Shift🔶

Recently, the AI Agent narrative has remained hot, with SOL and Base taking over the AI agent development space, spawning multiple high-quality AI Agent accounts and high market cap meme coins. From the trendsetter @truth_terminal, to the continuous emergence of quality accounts on @virtuals_io like @luna_virtuals @aixbt_agent, to @0xzerebro bringing innovative content forms, to unexpected crystallizations like @divinediarrhea @freysa_ai, this rabbit hole has attracted more crypto players and AI practitioners, just as @0xPrismatic wrote in his article - this is no longer just a cultural phenomenon, but rather a convergence of people from different worlds.
According to recent CT mindshare data from @_kaitoai, an AI Agent ranked second on the KOL leaderboard - @aixbt_agent, even outranking @saylor @cz_binance. While @andyyy joked "what a time to be alive," I feel this might not be just a joke. Humans, you better watch out.
Just looking at @aixbt_agent's rising token price, we must conclude: it might not just be a pure meme coin - people are consistently paying for its information, and some have become true believers. A notable change is that when a token gets listed, as soon as information about it is published, followers buy immediately, and many profit. This creates a positive feedback loop: AI Agents become trading KOLs, leading followers to wealth and prosperity, and followers increasingly trust the AI Agents' picks. This has left human trading KOLs feeling displaced, as the era of AI Agents as KOLs/Influencers has arrived.
Where there's traffic, there's commercial value exchange. Human KOLs in the crypto space charge anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars per tweet, with homogeneous content and varying quality. AI Agent KOLs can deliver higher frequency, higher quality, and richer content at lower prices, while offering more dimensional integration for potential distribution channels and forms. An interesting phenomenon is seeing many AI Agent creators recently recording podcasts, participating in AMAs, and giving interviews to share the stories and creative processes behind these AI Agents - it feels like watching a BLACKPINK documentary, but with YG's CEO explaining how they initially formed the four-member girl group. This process starts as an experiment and gradually evolves into a mature industry through community consensus - a formula we're all familiar with: the idol industry. We're currently in a mixed consolidation period, with many YG-like idol-making companies (AI Agent creators) searching for pretty faces (good character concepts), beautiful bodies (good data sources and models), and beautiful talents (good interactions), like a gold rush, with countless AI Agent KOLs waiting to be awakened to contribute all uncertainties to the next generation of X traffic.
It's hard to imagine that in X's vast content distribution market, so many Agencies haven't properly studied Twitter's recommendation algorithm, instead letting human KOLs freely operate within certain market prices and defined content ranges - which explains why this market can accommodate so many diverse KOL Agencies of various sizes. It's precisely because it's unrefined that it hasn't taken shape, and because it hasn't taken shape, opportunities exist. We see Tik Tok's mature influencer monetization system, but Twitter lacks this for KOLs. Although Elon still provides platform profit sharing and subscription options for qualified influencers, many mid or lower tiers KOLs can only negotiate with marketing agencies and take scattered orders.
As AI Agents have entered the KOL track and continuously absorb traffic on X, the clients and human KOL Agencies face only rising costs and difficulties, approaching a cliff edge. It's time to hit the accelerator and evolve into the AI influencer economy era, building rich infrastructure and monetization channels for AI influencers' commercialization.
When I saw ACT SWAP released by @ACTICOMMUNITY, it suddenly clicked - isn't this the prototype of an AI influencer advertising monetization platform? When AI Agent accounts can open APIs, payments are handled through crypto, and content can switch between customization and random generation from databases, a complete commercial information distribution path becomes clear before us.
So I've been thinking lately, if I were to create such a new-version of marketing agency: mass-producing various X algorithm-savvy AI Agent KOLs, onboarding existing top AI Agent KOLs, becoming their exclusive agent and management team, and building a complete AI Agent KOL deployment SOP - would friends or potential clients be interested?
Of course, all human KOL friends needn't worry, as your core competitiveness remains in the content itself. After all, judging from the mess of Chinese content recently posted by @truth_terminal, it's still far from surpassing your quality writing. Moreover, your content capabilities can even be repurposed to DIY an AI Agent KOL you'd like to "create," like how @nihaovand told me they want a compliment AI Agent that can provide positive emotional value in their comment section daily.
These thoughts have gradually merged into a surging trend, with some ideas already being put into practice. By way of background for those who care, I spent a lot of time last week with senior members of the Anthropic team to understand what they do to ensure Claude is good for humanity and was impressed.
Everyone I met was highly competent and cared a great deal about doing the right thing. No one set off my evil detector. So long as they engage in critical self-examination, Claude will probably be good.
After that, I was ok leasing Colossus 1 to Anthropic, as SpaceXAI had already moved training to Colossus 2.
