#PRCUpdate | A fire broke out in a residential area at Brgy. San Isidro Galas, Quezon City, on February 27. The fire reached the first alarm at 2:20 a.m. and was declared fire out at 12:28 p.m. Eleven affected families were brought to an evacuation center at San Isidro Galas Badminton Court.
Another fire incident occurred at Brgy. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City. The fire affected 14 families or 70 individuals and damaged eight houses.
The Philippine Red Cross responded swiftly—deploying firetrucks, an ambulance, volunteer firefighters, and emergency personnel. The PRC also provided psychological first aid to affected individuals and assisted families impacted by blazes.
As we observe Fire Prevention Month this March, the PRC remains committed to promoting fire safety awareness. We encourage everyone to stay vigilant and follow the 4Ps (Predict, Prepare, Plan, Practice) to help prevent fire incidents.
