@starsnstripesfc In CO, Rapids ownership seems like they don't care and don't invest in the club. I cheer for them and go to games but it makes it hard to follow the team after years of neglect. And same can be said about the CO Rockies. So this isn't MLS specific.
Supporting your local MLS team is like supporting your local Walmart.
It changes nothing. Your financial support is distributed to the larger corporate entity. There are no clubs. MLS is the owner of every team.

I'm not opposed to pro/rel - in fact, I think it would be great - but the idea that the U.S. would suddenly (or even eventually) financially support hundreds of 3rd and 4th tier soccer clubs simply because those clubs could potentially get promoted is a total fantasy. Sorry.
