Fikadu Yemane was labelled “downright predatory” after he arranged to meet a 19 year old woman in Manchester via social media.
He (and another man) met up with her and they ended up in a house in Crewe. The other man left and Yemane forced her into a bedroom and raped her, putting his hand over her mouth and strangling her until she passed out.
Her ordeal only ended when the other man returned and stopped the assault.
Yemane destroyed his SIM card, went into hiding, lied about the sex being consensual and took no responsibility for the attack.
He was given an 8 year sentence this week so will probably be out in half of that. If not sooner.
Yemane is from Eritrea originally but nothing was said about deporting him so women in the UK will just have to grin and bear it. Again.
