#RFKFiles: Unfortunately the sound quality on the original audio tape was very poor, and investigators (using available 1969 technology) could not isolate any gunshot sounds.
Ultimately the tape was not used as evidence in Sirhanās trial, and stayed locked in the archives.

#RFKFiles: Sirhan and most of his family were brought into the U.S. in 1956 by UNRWA ā a United Nations refugee relief agency that has come under scrutiny since the Oct. 7 war in Gaza for harboring terrorists.

#RFKFiles: after the RFK assassination, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, sent out a call across the Arab world asking for donations in support of Sirhanās family and requesting Arab lawyers to come to Sirhan Sirhanās defense.

#RFKFiles: This wasnāt the first time Sirhanās brother Sharif had been in serious trouble with the law.
In 1963 Sharif was arrested for the attempted murder of his ex girlfriend when he cut the brake lines on her car. He got a very lenient 2-year suspended sentence.

FBI agents interviewed a āhostileā Sharif Sirhan, who denied writing or signing the letter, but refused to provide handwriting examples or swear a statement under oath.

#RFKFiles: Sharif Sirhanās threatening letter was addressed to both Nixon and Humphrey at their national campaign headquarters at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.
FBI agents confirmed that the letter was typed using Sirhanās typewriter in his room at the family home.

#RFKFiles: State Dept. English translation of a Beirut newspaper interview with a Lebanese classmate and friend of Sirhan Sirhan who knew him at Pasadena College.
