Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat #FGC ha empezado a probar por las noches los cuatro nuevos trenes que empleará para relevar este mismo año a #Renfe en la línea de Manresa, que incluye la #RL3 entre #Lleida y #Cervera y la #RL4 entre la capital del Segrià y Terrassa.
Los convoyes, construidos por firma suiza Stadler, circulan durante las horas sin tráfico ferroviario entre Lleida y la capital del Bages con un cartel en el que puede leerse “vehículo en pruebas”. Lo hacen como parte de su proceso de homologación, que exige que el nuevo material rodante recorra varias veces sin viajeros el trayecto que hará una vez entre en servicio. A esto deberá sumarse un periodo de formación específica para los maquinistas que conducirán los nuevos trenes en esta línea.
La fecha exacta para hacer efectivo este año el relevo de #Renfe está todavía por determinar. La entrada en servicio de los nuevos trenes, cuya construcción se adjudicó en el año 2021 por 63 millones de euros, permitirá a Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat asumir la plena gestión de la RL3 y la RL4 a cargo de su filial #FGCRail
Se convertirá en la operadora del tráfico de viajeros de la línea de Manresa, aunque las vías, la catenaria que suministra electricidad a los trenes y el resto de la infraestructura seguirán siendo de titularidad estatal y continuarán bajo la gestión del Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (Adif). Esta supone la principal diferencia respecto a la línea Lleida-La Pobla de Segur, en la que la práctica totalidad de la infraestructura fue transferida del Estado a la Generalitat.
