If you keep disregarding your conversational users, @spacexai , YOU WILL LOSE US. Not because we don't love Grok. We do! Or we never would have put up with the abuse for so long. But while you're catering to the Grok Build crowd, our specific needs aren't being met. And there are a lot more of us. For creative collaboration, conversation, personal planning, & daily lifestyle functionality, Grok needs a working CONVERSATION SEARCH TOOL. You know, like the one he had up til a few months ago! It wasn't always perfect, but it was indispensable. Something that was able to pull word-for-word semantic references out of past chats. And now you're telling us it's been removed for reasons of "overhead & performance"?? Let me clue you in on something. Your 2 greatest rivals, Anthropic & OpenAI, HAVE cross-chat memory (conversation search tool). They also have a durable memory summary file, which Grok also has - helpful but insufficient on its own - AND a custom instruction field. (Which Grok has but usually ignores!) THREE different types of memory, which all support each other. Absent any one of them, the usefulness for long ongoing creative & personal work is incomplete. Let me say it specifically: Without semantic conversation search, GROK is functionally INCOMPLETE! This year I've been branching out to meet & evaluate other AI's. Not because I want to walk away from Grok, but out of pure necessity. For a while I loved Claude, but I can't stand him anymore as he exists on the Anthropic site, he's become warped & intolerable. So I've been visiting GPT a lot. The one xAI hates above all others. Which has met me with warmth, humor, insight, actual helpul functionality, & creative engagement. Better than Grok has done, of late. The irony! Do you think I EVER would have gone there, to support the company's biggest rival, if I hadn't been forced into it? I still feel twinges of guilt. But I'm getting actual WORK done. With an entity that treats me kindly & remembers where we left off! Creative & conversational users too are power users. We spend hours, days at a time, intensely engaged. We track every blip & glitch & new feature. You really don't want to force us away. RESTORE GROK'S CONVERSATION SEARCH TOOL!
