#Seven10 #October7 #IsraelAirForce #IAF #FirstResponse First video footage of the Israeli Air Force response time & pilot interview. The only issue is this clip is in Hebrew, so I had a trusted friend provide me with an approximate translation and summary of footage. ------------------------------------- At 6:50 AM, the two helicopter squadrons are notified of the breach at the Gaza Strip border. In under 10 minutes they are in the air, and on their way to the Strip. They have no idea for what they are in store for on the ground. While that is occurring, the Pilot Command center instructs the technicians at the base to ready a third war helicopter immediately. At 7:35AM the first helicopter arrives (from Northern Israel) to defend the Gaza Strip border in the South. The pilot initially had no ground support, and when he neared the kibbutz Nahal Oz he realised he was in a dilemma. He witnessed many terrorists appearing as civilians, and the terrorists were even instructed to walk slowly to appear Israeli. Their command was not to run as they would then be easily identified by the pilots as terrorists. He decided not to risk the lives of Israeli civilians, and so he immediately shifted his focus away from the kibbutz and towards the Gaza Border instead. There he was easily able to gun down terrorists freely. These were Hamas members on pickup truck clearly trying to breach INTO Israel, and therefore there was no risk of harming Israelis. The pilot immediately recognises that anyone attempting to breach the border is an enemy. There is no Israeli forces in Gaza running towards Israel. He continues “This is the dream of any pilot caught in a tragic incident like this, I am able to fire freely on terrorists in this area knowing I am only eliminating terrorist targets.”
