As we all heard, Joe Biden told Gov. Abbott he had till 1:00 pm today to allow federal border agents to remove the wire or else. Abbott refused and stood his ground. That or else may have been revealed in a new decision today to appease climate control activists. The Biden administration decided that it would temporarily pause decisions on new liquified natural gas—or LNG exports in the United States in connection with addressing climate change. Sure, that makes sense. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the freeze of LNG exports jeopardized Texas. “This reckless decision is a gut punch to the hard-working men and women in the energy industry. It also could cause some countries to rely upon dirty coal as opposed to cleaner-burning natural gas,” Abbott said. Either way, Abbott, along with many other states, are standing firm, and unless Biden has something else up his sleeve, I doubt this will change anything.
