We analysed the #StatisticalRegularities in 196 CDS recordings of 6 languages (#DE, #ET, #IT, #NL, #EN, #HU) to children of 1 to 60 months) and probed if speech segmentation models using statistical regularities are influenced by the age of the children (2/5) #CorpusAnalysis
German adults and 9-month-old infants listened to a Martian language where #Prosody was pitted against #StatisticalRegularities. Listeners could segment the language by relying on German lexical stress or by calculating Transitional Probabilities (TP) between syllables (2/6).
