The integration cost of 18 equipments that form ISE ( India specific Enhancements) alone is billion dollars plus 8000 cr approx
The entire development cost of #StralthAMCA is 15000 crores
Shows the high cost of going to OEMs fr integration of anything extra
@rahulsinghx Taking 10 yrs fr downsizing a ridiculous ASR spec from mach 1.5 supercruise to non supercruise #StralthAMCA ,( US 1St stealth platform F117 Night hawk was fully subsonic ,with no radar)
&
Chaging #TejasMk2 MTOW 3 times till 2018 PDR
By IAF is the reason fr 10 yr delay
The "One reason" fr Chinese airfoce inducting J20 stealths like clock work is
Not doing "decade long deep tech R&D" in ASR writing "skills" like IAF,
They acceted this non supercruise J20 with pre historic Russian engines,
IAF stalled #StralthAMCA with "unobtanium ASR demands "
The aatmanirbharta campaign is good, but we need to carefully evaluate whether our hard power accretion is keeping pace with our security environment.
Good intentions & misplaced nationalism should NOT drive our analysis - that should be clinical.
My OpEd in The Tribune today.

#TEDBF is now just two or three years behind #TejasMk2 & #StralthAMCA programs( which were in the "ASR, PDR ,stage "fr more than a decade)
Navy chief himself has said that #TEDBF will fly in 2031
That shows stream lined co operation with well defined objective btn user & ADA
@sakthivel_cit93 What tangible gains have been made on TEDBF? When will prototype fabrication start ? CDR over when? Lots of stuff to be completed . Moving fast means actually getting tangible gains. Lets wait for that .
